How to: Rename a hard drive.
Solution:
Display hard drive icon properties in 'My Computer' and type a new name in the 'Label' box.
1) Double-click the 'My Computer' icon. (The 'My Computer' window appears.)
2) Select the local hard drive icon.
3) Select the 'File' menu in the 'My Computer' window and select 'Properties'. (The '<drive> Properties' dialog box appears, where <drive> is the local hard drive you selected in step 2).)
4) Type a new name in the 'Label' box.

5) Click 'Apply'.
6) Click 'OK' to return to the 'My Computer' window.
NOTE: If the new name does not appear, select the 'View' menu and select 'Refresh'.
